Art Deco 9ct Gold and Platinum Engine Turned Design Bar Brooch
A smart and versatile classic bar brooch, which is as at home on a dress as a tie. It was made in Birmingham in 1926 by The Albion Chain Co. Frank & Walter Hayes Rabone traded as the Albion Chain Co and their address was on Albion Street, Birmingham.
The inner platinum section has a complex criss cross and lined engine turned motif and the outside sides are in 9ct gold with further engine turned decoration. The contrast between the gold and platinum is very attractive and goes well with the patterned effect of the metals. This is a good engine turned design typical of the 1920s.
