late-victorian-silver-paste-tiara
Late Victorian Silver Paste Tiara

A magnificent example of a Victorian tiara, circa 1860s-1880s. The craftsmanship is exceptionally fine, and the pastes sparkle like real diamonds. The tiara is modelled in a sculptural way, with layers of swags, tassels and floral sprays. It really has to be worn to be believed - and we were thrilled to have found it. Tiaras were, and still are, worn on the most formal occasions. Many grand ladies had diamond and paste tiaras, and they would mix the stones together to create a truly sparkling effect. This tiara came from an old English family, and was retailed by Harvey & Gore on Vigo Street, Mayfair.

This tiara comes in its original case. It has been recently reframed so it can be worn by a modern bride today.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0373/3428/6475/products/late-victorian-silver-paste-tiara-parkin-and-gerrish-antique-and-vintage-jewellery-568947.jpg?v=1751902056
